Brief History:
Christina Allison MacIntyre always seemed to have a
bright outlook on life. Her childhood was joyous and she received lots of
love from her kind parents. She had many friends during her teen years
and never felt that she was alone. When she did spend time alone, it
would be in her room, reading or writing her own short stories, mostly on the
subject of intimate love, which was something she felt she was missing in her
life. She had gone on dates before with guys and even slept with one she
really liked, but she still felt rather empty in her heart.
Christina wasn’t terribly fond of school, except for Wellish
class, where she excelled. In her other classes, she would write more of her
stories and received poor marks and, more often than not, detentions. She
took as many Wellish courses as possible in school
and her writing significantly improved. After she graduated from high
school, Christina told her parents that she wasn’t going to university; she had
decided to go to Thalland City to become a professional writer. Her parents were
disappointed that their only child wouldn’t continue her education, but they
supported her decision regardless. After a long, heartfelt good-bye,
Christina winged her way to the daunting metropolis that was Thalland City.
Christina found that life in Thalland City was a challenge. She had her own apartment, but
the rent was steep and she needed a success if she wanted to keep it. She
would write during all hours of the day and night, not getting much
sleep. When she finally had something to show for, she presented it to
some publishing companies. They didn’t really take the work of an
18-year-old girl from Cumberland very seriously and every firm rejected her work.
For the first time in her life, Christina felt crushed. She needed money
badly and she didn’t know what to do. She tried her luck at a couple of
jobs, but they didn’t last long for her. She tried asking her parents for
the money, but they were unable to help her. Eventually, she was evicted
from her apartment.
The first thing Christina did after being evicted was go to a bar, trying to
drown her sorrows in cheap ale. Christina had never had a beer in her
life and hated the taste of it. Unable to forget about her situation,
Christina left the bar, but was followed by a group of drunkards. They
attacked her just outside the bar, giving her a couple of good smacks to her
face. She cried out for help, trying to scare away the drunks, but they
did not cease their assault. Her cries of help did not go unanswered as a
tall Wellish grey wolf told them to leave her
alone. Christina’s gasped as one of the drunks pulled out a knife and
rushed him. She was equally astonished by the relative ease with which
the Wellishman dispatched him. After this, the
rest of the group scattered. The Wellishman
helped her up and she was taken by surprise by his handsome face. She
noticed from his gaze that he was definitely attracted to her. She
thought it was funny, the way he could barely stammer out his own name: St. John. She introduced herself a little more clearly than
he did to her, but that didn’t mean that she wasn’t a little nervous, as she
felt attracted to him all the same. He offered to take her home, but she
told him that she had just been evicted and had no money. Christina was
overjoyed when he offered her a place to stay.
When they reached St.
John’s home, Sabine
and Ute Blasendorf greeted Christina. She took
very kindly to the friendly Sabine, but she felt more than a little uncomfortable
around Ute, who seemed to be rather down and kind of bitchy, in Christina’s
mind. Over dinner, St.
John shared quite a
bit of personal information with Christina, trying to earn her trust.
After dinner, St. John took Christina to the bathroom where he drew a bath and
let her get cleaned up. Christina settled herself in nicely; it had been
a while since she had a nice warm bath. Her thoughts now dwelled not on
her situation, but on St.
John. He was
kind, courteous and protective, and certainly very sexy. She now felt
something filling the void in her heart. She was in love with him.
She got out of the bath, dried herself off and wrapped herself in the
towel. She came into St.
John’s room
determined to tell him how she felt. St. John offered his bed and left to sleep elsewhere.
Christina stopped him, pulled off her towel and kissed him intimately.
When St. John pulled away, Christina’s heart sank. But St. John then kissed her back and she knew that this was
love. Christina would share St. John’s bed and heart for more than that night….
Christina stayed with St.
John and her new
friends, helping out with chores and continuing her writing, to which St. John gave strength. She let St. John read her work, and he was impressed, giving compliments
and constructive criticism. He would ask her to pose for his paintings,
which she was glad to do for him. Even Ute accepted her, and the two of
them learned a great deal about each other.
One day, however, would mark the beginning of a very big change for her.
As she was taking a stroll through the streets of Thalland City alone that day, she saw a human man looking around at
the structures, as if he had just entered an alien world. Christina was
curious about him, as she had never seen a human before. The human
population in Thalland City, as well as the rest of the world was rather
sparse. She approached the man and asked if he was lost. He replied
that he was a traveler and wanted to know where he was. She found it odd
that he didn’t know the name of the largest city in the world, but kindly
informed him of it. She noticed that he carried a guitar and inquired if
he played it well. He asked her to tell him and played a song for
her. She was astounded by his skill and applauded him. He thanked
her and introduced himself as Bors Fortinbras. She introduced herself and offered him a
place to stay the night, believing that the others would accept him and also
slightly curious about this human who could play his instrument so well.
She brought him back to her home and introduced Bors
to the others, who were a little suspicious of him, being human. As the
night wore on, their views of Bors softened. He
demonstrated his musical skill to them and they had a reaction similar to
Christina’s. He seemed to have a natural charisma about him, despite his
tired appearance.
The next day, Christina and the others were shocked when he revealed his true
identity as a deity. Upon hearing the views of his religion, she
supported them fully, as they embraced writers like her. Christina
observed that he spent a lot of time around Sabine, and she was surprised when
he left suddenly.
Soon after, the demons came. Cumberland was one of the first countries to feel the demon’s
wrath, and Christina’s parents did not survive the onslaught. Christina
was heartbroken by the news and St. John did his best to comfort her. Her parents’ death
brought out a new determination to destroy Azmodan
and his demon hordes. She trained herself with a mancatcher
and became quite adept with the weapon. Her natural speed and weapons
training were instrumental in Azmodan’s defeat.
After the end of the demon war, Bors returned.
He made the group immortal for slaying the demon lord and took Sabine with him
back to his plane. He offered to take the others, but Christina and St. John felt happy remaining behind in Ruferus.
They eventually took the Lover’s Oath, presided over by Bors
himself. Christina’s writing was eventually recognized and several of her
works were published over the years. She couldn’t remember being happier.
Now that the demons have returned, Christina is saddened to have to take up
arms again, but still tries to continue her cheery outlook on life. She
has trained herself to wield punching daggers in addition to her mancatcher. Upon learning their enemy’s true nature,
her love looks to her for comfort and support.
