Brief History:
Morgan Yvette Frontenac had piety drilled into her at a young age by her father, Jacques, who was himself a bishop.  Jacques was also a very strict man, who would get his nose bent out of shape at the slightest disorder.  Morgan’s childhood was filled with spankings and other forms of corporal punishment at the hands of her father.  Her mother couldn’t do very much to stop him from doing this to their daughter, but she tried to cover up whatever messes Morgan made.  As a result, Morgan felt better when she was around her mother, and spent the majority of her childhood being around her mother as much as possible.  It was from her mother that she learned to cook and she felt happy doing it for her father, because she didn’t get hit as much after good meal.  When Morgan was 11, her father was sent to Thalland City to be the archbishop of the largest church in the city, because he spoke Payan as well as Wellish.  He brought the rest of his family with him.

Morgan believed in God and the religious texts for much of her younger years, until she entered adolescence, when she began to feel a powerful attraction to the girls that she knew.  Although she was somewhat interested in guys, her emotions were strongest toward females.  Morgan tried to fight her feelings, thinking that the feelings would pass given time.  But her emotions proved to be too strong for her, and it scared her to death.  Her religion, and more importantly, her father, frowned upon homosexuality.  At that point, she felt that her religion would not accept her and put it out of her life.  She stopped paying attention at her father’s mass, or skipped it entirely.

At 15, Morgan got a part-time job working as a waitress at local Payan restaurant.  She liked the job, as it paid well and it got her away from her father.  After working as a waitress for a year, she asked the manager if she could become a cook.  After preparing a dish to sample, the manager immediately made her a cook, working part-time, as she was still in school.  She wanted to drop out, but her father would be angry if she did that, so she worked there when time permitted.  Morgan was happy, doing when she did best and getting well paid.

However, she would frequently see happy couples in love in the restaurant, and it made her somewhat angry.  She wanted to feel that way, to have somebody who cared for her intimately like that.  But she was too shy, so she kept her distance emotionally from those she was attracted to.  She would release sexual tension quietly in her room, making sure her father wouldn’t hear her.

But one day, her father entered her room without warning and found her releasing the tension on her bed.  He was devastated at what she was doing.  For him, it was the last straw.  He grabbed Morgan by the arm and led her to the door.  Her mother tried to stop him, but he gave her a smack across the face with the back of his hand.  He pushed Morgan out the door, pointed at her and yelled out “Don’t come back!”

Morgan wandered through the streets of
Thalland City, crying her heart out.  She now had nobody and no home.  After a long walk to clear her head, she finally stopped and looked around.  She didn’t know where she was at all and slumped to the ground, starting to cry again.

“What’s wrong?” she heard a voice ask her.  She looked up and through the tears in her eyes, saw Ute Blasendorf.  Morgan could only mumble in a quivering voice “I have no home….”  Ute took her by the hand and brought her to her own home, and she met Sabine,
St. John and Christina.  They offered her a temporary home and for that, she was grateful.  That night, so show her appreciation, she cooked them dinner, which turned out to be the best meal they had in a while.  After the meal, they asked if she could cook like that again.  She said she could, and the group unanimously said she could stay.  Although she still felt low, she was content with a roof over her head.  Until she had a bed of her own, Ute offered to share hers.  During the evening, Morgan poured her feelings out to Ute, who she trusted having shown her kindness.  She told Ute all about her life and her feelings, something that brought her on the verge of tears at more than one point in her story.  When she finished, Ute gave her a hug, holding her tightly.  When they parted, Morgan felt Ute’s lips kiss hers.  Morgan was surprised at first, but she let her emotion take her where they would.  The kiss escalated, and the two shared a very passionate night.

The next day, Morgan got directions back to her home from
St. John, who knew the city well.  She felt a confidence she had never known before, having now known what it felt like to be, and be with, a woman.  She felt ready to confront her father.  She knocked on the door, which was answered by her father.  Her father continued to condemn her for what she had done and who she was.  Morgan heard him mention, amid the insults, that her mother left him during the night.  Morgan tried to get a word in, but her father balled up his fist and punched her in the nose.  She got up, faced her father and said with a raspy, anger-filled voice, “I hope God zees you for ze monster you are and damns you to ze hell you deserve.”  Her father was silenced with shock.  “I bet you didn’t know zat I’m gay.”  Her father shook his head and whispered “No.  I refuse to believe…”  “Oh, yes, father.  I am.  Good-bye.”  As she left the porch, her father yelled out to her, “Where are you going to go, sinner?”  Her response was “To zose who truly care about me, unlike you.”  She turned her attention back to the streets and never looked back.

Morgan did her best to resume her life.  She got to know Ute and her friends and continued her job as a cook at the restaurant.  Bors’ arrival marked a religious renewal for Morgan, as she took up her new faith and finally believed in a god once again.

But Morgan would soon find her life in turmoil once again.  When Morgan was at the restaurant one day, working in the kitchen, she heard screaming from the tables.  She rushed in to see strange creatures laying waste to the patrons and the building itself was on fire.  She was terrified and ran out the back door.  She ran from the burning building out into the streets and saw that these abominations were destroying all the buildings in the area.  Morgan hid herself and waited for them to leave.  After an hour of praying silently to herself, Morgan emerged to see the destruction wrought.  In the distance, she could see something tall, still on fire.  She knew what it was; it was her father’s church!  She ran as fast as she could to find out what happened to him.  She found him outside, lying on the ground, badly burned, clinging to life.  When he saw her, he looked at her and said “I’m sorry…” with his dying breath.  Morgan’s eyes filled with tears as he closed her father’s lifeless eyes.  “You’re forgiven,” she said.

With her father in mind, Morgan and the others took it upon themselves to fight the demons.  Her skill with knives was exemplary and she employed those skills to killing many of them.  However, during the final battle against Azmodan, Morgan attempted to slay the demon lord herself.  Unfortunately, the demon lord was more powerful than Morgan thought and the demon lord cut her left eye with a single claw slash.  Although Sabine would finish off the demon lord, Morgan’s eye was beyond saving.  She would wear an eyepatch and rely on her right eye for sight.  When Bors returned, he used his healing powers to regenerate her eye.  Morgan was relieved that she could see fully again, although she would continue to wear the scar as a reminder of that fateful day.  Morgan was granted immortality along with the rest of the group.

For the years following the demon war, Morgan continued with her life.  She got another job as a head chef in another Payan restaurant and in the more recent years would come to own the establishment.  Ute would constantly try to hook her up with people, both men and women.  Morgan would date those Ute found for her.  She even got serious with a few, however, none of them could capture her heart.  She would often wonder what happened to her mother.  She would remain a lover to Ute, for whom she had strong feelings.

Wishing to become more involved with the Borsite faith, Morgan made a request of Bors upon his return to Ruferus.  She wanted to learn to play an instrument, preferably one that Bors himself favoured.  Bors helped her learn to play the bass guitar.  She still requires much practice, but she is quite capable.  Now that the demons have returned to Ruferus, Morgan is prepared to fight the demons that have taken so much from her.
